Thank you to everyone who participated in the Halloween Candy Buyback we hosted November 5th, 6th, and 7th. With your help, we were able to send 91 pounds of candy to Operation Gratitude who will distribute the candy to the troops overseas, Veterans and first responders. We loved helping to teach kids about doing good while protecting their teeth.
While lots of candy has been donated through Operation Gratitude, we don’t expect kids (or adults) to stay away from candy completely! Be sure to check out our Halloween dental tips blog post. The post will help you decipher the best Halloween candy for your teeth and shares candy to stay away from to best protect your teeth. It’s also important to remember best practices during the candy season. Don’t forget to brush your teeth twice a day for two minutes and floss once. Remember to visit Dr. Derksen twice a year for a cleaning and checkup. Contact us today to schedule your next appointment.
Thank you to Netvantage Marketing, our dental SEO team and Rogo Marketing & Communications for helping us spread the word about the candy buyback.
